Medical and social care 
The Fonds Social Juif Unifié
The Fonds Social Juif Unifié (FSJU, Unified Jewish Social Fund) has put in place:• The “Passerelles” service (toll-free number: 0011 33 800 39 45 00)
This national helpline is a starting and relaying point. Survivors and their families can talk to a counselor who evaluates their situation and directs them to the associations that are more able to answer their needs with the following information:- information on rights
- assistance to build administrative files or compensation applications
- helpline and psychological support
- assistance in case of social and financial hardship
- orientation to social workers and domestic help
The “Passerelles” service has offices in provincial regions: Lyon, Marseilles, Nice, Toulouse and Strasbourg. They welcome the public, organize friendly activities and meetings and they can make home visits if the persons have lost their mobility.
•The Emergency Fund
The emergency fund of the FSJU can be contacted to get help when facing unexpected financial expenses destabilizing a limited budget (expulsion, accident, hospitalization, fire, excessive debts, house accommodation, house moving, rent debt, burial costs...).Website: www.prevenance.org
This general website for elderly people and their families gives useful information: practical information, phone directories, files, Q&A section... You can also chat online with geriatricians and experts.
The Casip-Cojasor Foundation
It was created in 2000 with the merger of the Casip Association (Comité d’Action Sociale Israëlite de Paris – Jewish Social Action Committee of Paris founded - in 1809) and Cojasor Association (Comité Juif d’Action Sociale et de Reconstruction – Jewish Committee of Social Action and Reconstruction - founded in 1945). This foundation gathers the missions of the two associations, especially the social assistance to families and elderly people and actions in favor of Shoah survivors. The service of Shoah survivors and their heirs welcomes the survivors and their families and answers their different needs, in relation with the services of the foundation as a whole.Casip-Cojasor

Casip-Cojasor committed to give Shoah survivors priority when seeking space in its facility “Ignace Fink” in Nice.
The Œuvre de Secours aux Enfants (OSE-Children Rescue Charity)
Since 1912, OSE has been devoted to medical and social work for the Jewish population. This assistance today focuses on five areas: children, health, elderly people, handicap and remembrance. Since the creation of the Shoah Memorial, OSE has strengthened the services it offers to Shoah survivors.OSE France

• Medical and social action
OSE provides different support services for Shoah survivors: a program to fight isolation (Entre amis- Between friends), vacation trips for elderly people etc... Additionally, OSE manages the Elio Habib center, a leading gerontology unit, which provides for instance in: care, gerontology home evaluation, checkup of memory problems for elderly people and assistance for institutionalization.Center de Santé Elio Habib

• Alzheimer and related diseases
Alzheimer-like neuro-degenerative diseases require a global support for the patient and his/her family. The Association d’Aide pour les Israélites Agés et Malades (ADIAM – Association for the Welfare of Elderly and Sick Jews)
ADIAM is a Jewish association providing a multi-purpose service of care and home assistance for elderly people, people affected with incapacitating diseases and handicapped people, living in Paris and its surroundings. Retirement homes 
Rothschild Foundation
The Rothschild Foundation is a private non-profit organization, classified as being of public interest for the last 150 years. It reaches underprivileged people at any age of life: children, teenagers, adults and elderly people, with or without a handicap, but all in a precarious situation. It manages eleven facilities in the health and social-medical sectors, all recognized as “Social Aid” or “Health Insurance”.With the help of the Foundation for the Memory of the Shoah, it created a specific program, “Tivka”, of caretakers for Shoah survivors at the Picpus retirement and geriatrics home, a program that accommodates self-sufficient or dependent elderly people.

FSJF is a Jewish association created in 1928 with a primarily social mission: assistance to elderly people, sick or poor. It recently opened a new retirement home at Boissie-la-Bertrand (Seine et Marne). Comité d’action sociale israélite de Marseille (CASIM – Committee of Jewish social assistance of Marseille)
CASIM accommodates and supports the most underprivileged members of the community, mainly in the Bouches-du-Rhône region. It provides social assistance for families, elderly and isolated people and Shoah survivors. With the help of the Foundation of the Memory of the Shoah, CASIM implemented a orientation and assistance helpline and home services.
